to Province

The founding prospectus is written, the public campaign is live, and the Founding Circle of engineers, ecologists, archaeologists and port operators is assembling. This phase is underway; you are reading part of it.

Letters of interest from ports and energy majors; commissioning of the detailed engineering, environmental and archaeological studies; and the opening of UK–Netherlands treaty framework discussions, the groundwork examined on the Sovereignty page. Construction of Nieuw Haven, the 5–10 km² hub island on the shallow plateau south of the Hornsea wind farms, in the staged sequence set out on the Construction page: safe harbour first, then the island, then the port. The first wind and hydrogen infrastructure arrives with the protected lagoons and the archaeology research centre.

Crucially, the port opens as a working commercial harbour within this phase: wind-farm O&M berths, port dues, and a harbour of refuge on a stretch of sea that has never had one. That is the project's first operating revenue, and it arrives before the first resident.

The radiating island chains and sheltered lagoons are raised, and the wildlife islands with them. Ferries run from both coasts to the hub while causeways and bridges begin hopping island to island, shortening the open-water gaps toward Immingham and IJmuiden. On the outer bank, the spaceport pad becomes operational.

Declaration of Nieuw Doggerland as an autonomous binational territory under the UK–Netherlands framework: a new jurisdiction for a new century. Full transport integration follows, and the archipelago takes its place as a global destination for energy, research and eco-tourism.
